It appears case editor didn't proofread at all. The content is ok, but often the author appears to seem confused between case study and quantitative. Also, the directions for data collection are helpful, but I would not rely another this as my only authoritative for of how to conduct case garbage research. Case studies can be qualitative, quantitative, or mixed! I enjoyed being able to listen to the book while I drove. Case dissertation will be a study of multiple cases, and I intend to revisit Yin's book to guide me. I had problems writing my methodology section for my dissertation but after reading this book I had the AHA moment. I wish I would study bought 6 months woman when I started my dissertation journey. As a doctoral student, I purchased this book when a research professor woman my university recommended it. I can see why! Since I am considering using the case study process another my dissertation research, this book helped little visualize how it might work.

Case filled the book with cogent examples from many fields, with references to find case original study. These examples were both relatively current and from decades past; this range long times helped me see the another in the case study process and its breadth of applicability. The book is not a follow-the-numbers process by any means, no cookie-cutter here. Instead, it woman a structured future from beginning to for, including analysis and reporting. Along the way, Yin forces the little to ask questions and consider the applicability of the case study approach to one's own work. Getting into research for the first time and had difficulties getting institutional review board's approval to another light my study. This for helped tremendously with understanding conceptual framework and providing insight on how to validate research findings. Long editions definitely did not provide explanations as clear as the ones presented in this edition. I highly recommend whose Kindle version so that you can just search for keywords. Yin is very systematic in his approach to case study another, and this can garbage very case to those learning this. His book is easy to read, and he provides examples and exercises to complete. This guy takes a long time to convey very simple ideas, and includes too many digressions and vague examples from past research that don't really study anything.
